New Respect for Women Classes

OK, so I worked out three times last week, but I lost it because I went out of town and ate a lot. I started back again fresh this week and let me tell you, all the women who do these aerobics and spin classes, I tip my hat to you. That crap is hard.

My buddy and I took a Cardio Boot Camp class this morning with a trainer name DeChantel. She almost killed me. I thought I would be good, I play ball every week and lift weights, I should fly through this class. Wrong answer. 15 minutes through the class, she had us doing push ups, i barely got through five without collapsing to my mat. Dave walked out of the class twice because it was killing him, and the last time I sweat that much was after 2 straight hours of non-stop basketball. That class was crazy.

We made it through the full hour but not without wanting to cry a few times. I am taking that class every Tuesday from now on, that had to be the best cardio workout I have ever had. Big ups to DeChantel for trying to kill us.

The Real Workout Begins

Ok, I just talk to my boy Dave. His wife got him a membership and told him to get his body back. He is hardcore when he gets going so working out with him is going to help. We are both trying to lose 20 lbs and weigh about the same so it is about to be on. I will have weight and measurements and pictures in my next post Monday.

Day 1

Ok here is the deal. I weigh 195 lbs. To some people that's not bad, but for me, it is too much. I don't want to be a model, but I do want a body like one, so I started this blog to help me get there. If anyone is reading I need your support and comments. I will post pics on a regular basis and give a lot of updates. My goal is to get down to 180 lbs, not skinny, but ripped.

And I know it is Wednesday, but why put it off to next week what I can start right now. Follow my journey and hopefully it will inspire you to reach your fitness goals.
